Laura Flynn
I work with individual adults who are searching for how to live well, trust themselves, and identify and express their authentic self. Rather than viewing emotions as a problem to be solved, my approach involves exploring and understanding emotions in a way that is revealing and liberating. I have a particular interest in working with people who are striving to increase meaning and purpose in their lives, as well as clients facing life transitions, challenges of parenthood, interpersonal relationship conflict, and issues of mid-life.
Approaches
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps clients recognize unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors, teaching practical strategies to manage difficult emotions, reduce stress, and create meaningful changes in daily life.
Existential Therapy
Existential Therapy offers a reflective space to explore life’s deeper questions, find personal meaning, navigate uncertainty, and make choices that align with your values and authentic self.
Humanistic Therapy
Humanistic Therapy emphasizes understanding, empathy, and personal growth, providing support for clients to explore their potential, build self-compassion, and live more fully in alignment with who they are.
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction teaches techniques to cultivate present-moment awareness, reduce stress, and respond to life’s challenges with greater calm, clarity, and acceptance.
